I was heartbroken that in this image, the bird was not in focus. But now that I've had a chance to get used to it, I sort of like the ghost-like qualities, the silver enigma hovering over the mountain face.

It's remarkable how brilliant and silver this very black bird can appear when the feathers reflect rather than absorb the light, when seen from just the right angle.
