Even though we consider yucca a pest plant, it has its moments--especially when in full bloom on a crisp, cool June morning.
It is quite rare for me to discover a new flowering plant growing in our valley, but that happened yesterday. I recognized it as belonging to the mallow family (hibiscus etc) and have now ID'd it as Musk Mallow.
